Thanks everyone! I had always wanted to go deer hunting and just never could seem to make it happen. This year for my birthday, I was given my complete camo outfit and other necessary supplies...and was whisked away to the deer lease. I am definitely hooked and want to go hunting for anything I can eat. I have been an avid fisherman - mostly offshore because of living in Port Aransas for a while - and like hunting, believe/agree with the ethics of it all. And, if I'm not going to eat it - I won't kill it.
There is so much for me to learn and I can't wait to learn, experience and enjoy it all! I hope to be a regular on here for a long time...Thanks again for all the warm welcomes and comments!

Speaking of T'giving, in lieu of the traditional turkey meal - I'm preparing a venison roast in the crock pot and fixing a venison stuffing to go with it...all meat provided by my muley pictured above! ;-) I'm certainly thankful for being able to prepare a wonderful meal that I hunted myself!

year by Pat his wife...She outshot him and got the biggest buck..
