I bow hunt alot of public areas for deer and hogs. Getting game out of the woods is sometimes quite an adventure. I'm considering buying a game cart but I've read mixed reviews. I was wondering if any THFer's have purchased one and what brand, so I can choose wisely. Thanks in Advance!!

I hunt of public land in TX & NM. The Super Mag Hauler(at Cabelas) is your best bet. Hauled many deer plus stands. Balances deer just right. $140.00 w/tax

We had one we made with two bike wheels, some angle iron and some expanded metal. It worked great. Someone else thought so too and decided we were not protecting it enough. I bought one that Academy sells and have carried two deer through some bad country and it worked fine. I can't remember the brand, but I think I paid about $68.00 for it. The only drawback I can see is the size of the wheels. I am thinking of making another one with mountain bike wheels before next year.

I found an old heavy duty dolley at a garage sale several yrs ago and welded a hitch for a two inch ball too it, I can hook it up to the back of my Ram Charger or my 4-wheeler, strap the deer to it and go! Its too cold to go outside and take a pic for ya, but I went online and home depot has a similiar one for $19.93, it doesn't look as sturdy but it it shows a 300lb carrying capacity, might want bigger wheels depending on the terrain, but for my place this works great.

I hoped you would show up and remind me what brand I bought. Like I posted earlier, it works great, has plenty of weight capacity. i just wish it had taller wheels.

Several years ago I bought a HITCH HAUL and an adapter kit from SPORTSMANSGUIDE.
You just remove the center bar (the part that goes into the receiver), replace with a new bar, slide on the wheel adapters & attaching pins, and slide in the folding handle & attaching pins. The metal spoked wheels are 20" hard rubber and are attached to the wheel adapter. It sits about 24" off the ground and rolls very easily.
I have hauled two deer out at the same time on it.

I can not remember the brand on mine... Grizzly I think, but it works great. I even used it to haul corn into the feeding area, since I did not want to make a lot of noise with a 4 wheeler in there Used one last several years in some very rough country, high canyon walls, ravines and such it is a lot easier than trying to drag one out. There is one Cabela's sells that fols up into a backpack type frame, have been considering on getting one of them, as we never leave the cart but roll it back and forth to our hunting areas.... bank

I went to the Academy Website and did a search on GameHauler and nothing showed up. I am very interested in purchasing one, just want to see how it compares with the Backpack style cart at Cabela's. The last deer I shot, we hauled it out on a 2 wheel dolly and it worked except for the wheels are really too small and when facing forward dragging the dolly the handle is too low. Maybe I'm just too picky!! I've heard that the bicycle spoke wheels are the way to go, because the plastic type spokes will break when the cart tilts to one side especially in the cold weather. I appreciate the help!!

Thank You, that is exactly what I'm looking for. I really like the size of the wheels and the metal or steel spokes. Now I know what I'm getting for Christmas!! Thanks Again and Merry Christmas!
