 71 year-old mom shoots first deer in 50 years!

my mom grew up deer hunting, but my dad was just a bird hunter and she stopped. we hunted my Texas lease last year without seeing anything. this year I took her up to Oklahoma lease for rifle. we saw some does earlier, but she couldn't get on them in time. this 8-point came in, I told her wait for the broadside, I leaned down to get my 2nd camera and BANG!  I looked up to see it kick and knew it was hit. she later said she was shaking so bad and after taking a deep breath stopped shaking, so pulled the trigger.  185 yard shot and turned out to be perfect, hit forward part of shoulder and must have done a bunch of damage inside because it only went 30 yards. she had that hunter drive from the beginning, scanning the horizon all morning, shaking when that buck came in, and then so excited when we found the buck. of course will never forget this memory with my mom.

Awesome man. My mom shot one 26 years ago- the year i was born, and hasnt gone out since. Makes me want to get her in the blind.
