My finace replaced the SD card out of my Primos Truthcam 35 this weekend. The camera said it took pictures but when she got to the house, no pictures were present. Seems like the SD card has become corrupted? Any ideas?

Could the camera have been set to internal memory? If you have a digital camera at home, stick it in there and take some pics and check it. Good luck.

Take the card and view it your digital camera if you have one to verify that it does not have any pics on it. If it does then use the camera cable to download them from the camera to your computer. I locked a card by mistake once also. If it was locked it will camera will show it took pics but not store them. I would make sure the card is formated for that camera. The card capacity is not more than the camera is rated for is it? HD cards will not work in some make/model cameras.

Try the card in a different computer. I had a card that my desktop would not read but worked fine on the laptop. Probably could have been reformatted and salvaged but trashed it instead.

Also the Primos menu gives you the option to format the sd card when you put it in. Some cards work right out of the pack some have to be formated in the camers.

Never had a problem of that nature but I did format a card once not paying attention, and of course deleted all the pictures

Had the same problem this weekend but with a different game cam. Once I plugged it into a lap top instead of the digital camera I took into the field, I found that the game cam creates it's own file that the digital camera won't read but the laptop will.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM...ALMOST TOSSED MY CAMERA IN THE TRASH. TURNS OUT I USED A SD CARD THAT WAS "HC" (HIGH CAPACITY)....MY CAMERA (PRIMOS 35) DIDN'T LIKE IT. BROUGHT IT HOME TRIED OUT A REGULAR SD CARD (THAT WAS NOT HC) AND IT WORKED WITH NO PROBLEM. PUT IT BACK OUT SUNDAY...WE WILL SEE HOW IT WORKS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. CHECK YOUR SD CARD..BE CURIOUS IF THAT IS IT. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

My camera's instruction says to place switch at the off position to the off position before removing SD card. You might double check the instructions.

I have a micro SD card in a SD card carrier. I wasn't able to write to it. Then I noticed a small piece of white plastic in the case I use to carry my SD cards. It seems my carrier had lost its locking peg & anything I put in it was write protected regardless of the external switch position.
Now I'm looking for a cheap carrier for my micro SD card. I had a bunch of them but tossed them when I put the cards in their devices (phone, camera, etc.).

I have a good one for you. I checked my chip on Nov 4, and there was a gap of no pics between Oct. 15 and Nov 4. The last pic taken was on Oct 15.and was of myself when I last set the cam for use for the next 2 weeks or so. The next pic was on Nov 4 and was of me reaching to take the chip out. Battery was at 80% why the gap?? weird.

Maybe somebody went in there and deleted those dates. You got any hooligans out on your place? That would be my first guess.

We take hundreds of thousands of pics each year....Not all SD cards are equal.
The San Disk brand has caused us the least grief and held up nicely to the punishment we give um. Just saying, If you invest in a SD card might give this brand a try.

My camera will not work with the PNY sd cards in them. Ive had the best luck with san disk and kodak cards. Ive also had a friend that his wouldnt work with the HD cards in them but Ive never tried them in mine

I have a Power Pack on my Primos TC-60. Ice weighed down the cable going into the camera, & it pulled out. I'm assuming in the middle of a picture, because it ruined my Sandisk card!! No problems prior to this on the camera or the card..

I was having similar problems with my Primos cameras, I wrote to Primos and they said you really need to check the SD cards and ensure they are formatted for the Primos cameras. I also used SD cards that had been in other cameras and even though I formatted them in the Primos they never worked properly. You can also improve your camera battery life by the speed of your SD cards, faster cards use less battery but they cost more. There is number in a circle on the cards that range from 2-10 the higher numbers are faster and of course more expensive. Now I dedicate cards to each camera and that has helped a bunch also check your high; normal and low sensitivity settings because as it gets colder I believe the instructions say to lower the sensitivity. You can also send an email to Primos about any issues and they are really good about getting back to you very quickly.
