Little deer. Is this the 1st pic you have of him? Looks like a yearling... But never seen a yearling with a rack like that.

Become his buddy cause he might end up with a huge rack! Of course it's more likely he has a genetic malfunction of some sort. Although the highest scoring deer ever had his biggest rack at 2 yrs old. 500" ain't to shabby for a 2 yr old lol

A mature buck might be a deer, but you can bet it's a totally different animal

saw one that was freakishly small killed on the lease about 10 years ago... field dressed 48lbs and had the smallest little 12pt rack you had ever seen. aged at 4.5.

Might just be the angle and pic but the head looks long in relation to the body to me for is to be a very young deer. If that is the case runt and have seen them nounted, makes for an interesting conversation piece.

About 5 yrs ago or a little longer on a ranch that I cull shoot
near Fowlerton, Tx...McMullan County, I saw a buck trailing a
doe and his tail was quite long, he had a very small rack abt.
8pts., and looked to be about the size of a large fawn. I only
saw him once, but would have loved to have gotten a shot, as I
would have had one of my buddies full body mount and put him up
at the Hdqs. of the ranch to show what wonderful deer we produce.
Good Hunting...Dirt

Remember one that was mounted in a store in Mississippi when I was a kid. 8X10 pic under it. Tiny deer with matching 8pt reck. The spread was about 8 inches and the writeup they had with it said live weight was 65lbs, forget which county in Texas it was killed in.

Smallest buck I have seen with antlers was a 4pt that still had spots on a National Wildlife refuge in Mississippi. Numerous others saw that little buck and we all wondered what he would looklike at 5.5 if he could make it that long

I dont have anything that small but we definitely have some runts on our place. Every year we kill a buck that is mature 5.5+ but it is a midget compared to the normal bucks.
