Has the rut started? Anyone killed or seen any nice deer?
I passed on this deer on the right this weekend.

The rut has been on for 2 weeks in mills county. There are pictures posted on here from mills county.

The pre rut is on and mostly young bucks chasing. The actual rut is days away.

Ive missed two weeks since bow season opened. First sign of the rut on my place was last weekend. Have all next week off. Should be a good week to hunt.

Yep the bigun's have been in stupid mode and chasing hard here for about a week and the heavy rut should last through the next week hopefully before it tails off. Morning has been the prime movement this week with the moon coming up late night and going down mid afternoon.

Nah I paid the ranchands to work extra hard this week on that fence by you so it will be done and quiet for me next week.

I'll be hunting Friday threw Sunday. I have a new/different plan to see some deer I know are there but haven't seen them. I've watched their travel from a distance and I think I can find me a spot near thier trails without being affected by wind or detection. I hope I find me a big buck chasing that hot doe!

Bucks still chasing does. Seen two chasing 11/18/11.

Activity was pretty slow this evening. Had a couple young spikes and 4 pt that acted like they were looking for a doe. Had a few doe in late that didn't act like anything was chasing them. Weather was hot and very windy. Hoping tomorrow is better.

Second verse same as the first this morning. Hot and windy with a chance of storms. Two young bucks first thing this morning and just had a potential shooter with head down moving quickly through the trees at 350 yds. Didn't have a chance to get a good look. Hopefully they will move a little in front of this storm.

Yea a really slow weekend. It doesn't haelp that someone wants to start using a chainsaw at 5pm to work on their blind on the other property with in clear view of my blind and corn. GEEZE!

Perfect morning. Chilly with a NE wind and foggy. Have had more activity this morning than any other morning so far thus season. I just need more coffee and some Mrs. Baird's fried pies so I can sit all day.
