Saturday evening my daughter, wife and I were in the stand looking for our daughter's first deer. This 4 pt made his way in and she punched his clock. He is no monster but it's her first of hopefully many more and we are so proud!

Then Sunday morning my Nephew went to the same stand with his dad and took this Aoudad with his late grandfather's 7mm Mag.

Needless to say it was another great weekend at the ranch in Llano.

Congrats! It's a great feeling watching your little ones take their first deer.

Is that a .223 AR? If so, what bullet did she use? BTW, very nice neck shot by your daughter.

Glock: It's like a hammer, not very pretty but works when you need it.

It is chambered for 5.56. Using the Barnes Vor-Tx 55 gr TSX factory load. Bullet entered the neck and exited the off side shoulder, DRT. Last weekend she shot a 125 lb boar, went through both shoulders and pancaked him too. Great little bullet if thats what you have to use.

He wasnt the biggest one as far as the horns, but definitely the oldest and prettiest chaps.
