Recently I've been going hunting with friends on there deer leases, yesterday my dad found a small 20 acre lease that his friend owns that hasn't been hunted on for a while that he will let me hunt on. There is no feeder or blind out there so of course I would need to put that up. Is there any problems putting out a feeder during deer season? Such as scaring the deer off due to it being new? Thanks for any help!

I put another one out at the far end of our property during some down time on youth weekend. On opening weekend my wife saw 6 deer...three bucks, two does, and a button buck, eating the corn under it....one was a pretty good 8 point. Put the feeder up. You'll have a lot better luck with it than without it.

Last season I put a new one up on a Friday at noon and killed my biggest buck ever on it the following day.

I just bought my first pop-up tent blind at Cabelas and set it up on the edge of a road through the woods near a well traveled deer trail the first day of the season. The bucks pay me no mind. In fact, they act like its not even there. Its the does that are skeptics but even they come on out of the woods. I'd say set-up and hunt it like its been there all along.

My dad has up a tube corn feeder thats free choice, no motor. But, he has a little handheld thing that you push a button and it makes the sound of a feeder throwing corn pretty loud. He will hit that button and most of the time deer will come out and eat from the tube, lol. They do know the sound.
