Has anyone ever used an air hose to help skin a pig? I tried it last night and it seemed to help a ton. The 1st pig took a little longer due to 1st time trying it but, by the 3rd pig we were done in nothing flat.

I do it on Hogs and Deer, it make skinning them a whole lot easier. I just cut a slit in there leg and stick the nozzle in there and it helps seperate the skin from the meat.

I've heard of using a baseball to skin deer. I've always to see it work. I'm not suprised that you can use an air hose. Any chance you got some pics or maybe a video. Anything to make skinning them suckers easier.

I use a golf ball to skin my animals. Just tie rope around a golfball under the skin and tie the other end to a 4wheeler or vehicle. Works very well. Never tried the airhose, will have to try that.

We skin our squirrels using that method.
Never thought about doing it on a hog or a deer.
Hog hides are heavy enough to help you if you slit them down the spine.
Also use the rock&truck method to jerk the hide off deer.
Good luck, with it .

That's pretty cool, never tried that always just use a knife. When I was a kid though we used to do alot of coyote huntin' & my friends dad would always tie them off to a tree & use his truck to pull the skin off in one swoop. No knife cuts through the hide doing them that way, he used to sell the hides.
