I like sufficient equipment, but don't care about the "latest", as long as what I have suffices.

I buy quality equipment, and I buy what I think will give me a better chance or make me more comfortable.

I buy comfortable clothing, warm clothing, cool clothing. A nice pair of boots.

A decent bow, and good arrows. Good broadheads.

I've even bought a couple of those screw hooks that you can stick in the tree to hang your backpack or quiver from.

My phone doubles as a GPS.

I still need a rangefinder and binos, and then I probably won't have to buy anything else for years.

To me it boils down to comfort. I used to be the hard core guy that wanted to tough it out and and show my ability to hunt "old school". Now it's about comfort, precision, and the overall ability to enjoy my time in the field. Anything that makes those primary goals easiest is where I spend the bulk of my money.

I have come to consider a solar charger for my iPhone critical gear. My grandpa would whoop me good if he was alive to see me sitting in my blind surfing eBay and hunting forums.

More than I need, but it has been 15 plus years of gathering it up. Alot of the stuff was bought on sale (especially the end of season blowout sales). I try to buy good quality stuff and TAKE CARE of it.

Plus an 8'x8' box blind and a feeder remote. Gotta shake the can every now and then grin

This right here. Who wants to lug a bunch of stuff around? I carry minimal but quality equipment.

I am pretty bare. Gun, binos, toilet paper, beef jerky, knife, cell phone, and maybe a rangefinder (if not hunting over a feeder).

For me it is a rifle, 10 boxes of 130 grain .270 shells, binos, good pair of boots, spotting scope, my cleaning kit and my camera. All tools for work and pleasure.

i use custom rifles that my fil have built for me. other than that i guess i would be considered a gear whore.

i used to think that i didnt need the best of the best and would always buy cheap enough to get by with. the stuff wouldnt even last a season. i got tired of that.

now i buy stuff that will help me and last.

My rifle, ammo, skinning knife, binos, good coveralls. Don't need new stuff if the old stuff still gets the job done.

I don't have any gadgets. I'm not against them though. Everytime I decide I need one, I usually get over it before I buy.
