So I traded for a glock 26 with a manual safety. not the trigger safety. It has a factory 1911 style safety. I have seen them online but not actually used one. Anyone else got one on theirs? Not sure if i like it yet.

Don't have a Glock, but I have some XDs. Seems to me that a manual safety defeats the whole idea or concept. Maybe you'll like it though.

I had two that were given to me, I promptly removed the "thumb' safety on each. They just didn't work for me ergonomicaly.

Pic? I'd be interested in grabbing a 19 or 17 with one, wasn't aware such a beast existed from the factory.

If you want additional security, there are pop-out blocks that fit behind the trigger. It is called Safe-T Block. Here it is on a vendor web site: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=17097/Product/SAF-T-BLOK-for-GLOCK-reg-I put a trigger slide safety on one of my Glocks & am happy with it. It is sold by Siderlock ( www.siderlock.com). It can be installed without modifications to the frame thus retaining the ability to go back to stock. Installation was time consuming and required a lot of patience (at least for me). Once installed, the trigger assembly will not come out of the frame unless you reverse the installation process. Cleaning is best done leaving it in place. I have both types and each has its advantages. Both work well without modification to the pistol This has to be thrown in: "If you don't want the gun to fire, keep your finger off the trigger".
