A virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his actions, they are dictated by his conscience, rather than by onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact."

Yup, and it sounds like that would have been warranted.

since I'm gonna be looking for a trophy this year, my ruger .270 is gonna be spending the most time with me.

if and when I do take my buck, I'll switch back over to the .22-250 and get to work on letting the wife kill pigs and cull bucks

Always the same decision for me as it is all I want and need - Remington 700BDL in .270 with 130gr Remy Core Lokts - it's one of the old n good ones with the pressed flor-d-le checkering..It "gets r done".

Only thing is I took a bad fall with it in my hands last year and unfortunately the brunt was born by the Redfield widefield scope that I had loved so much. Had to replace it and that hurt as that combo was spot on and 100% reliable, I loved it.

I've had to work until now to get it to where I'm confident with the new scope (Nikon) - I don't care if it was a Ziess or Swarovski..if I could have it back the way it had been since the 60's or 70's with that widfeild which dropped anything it looked at in its tracks - I'd do it.

I'm sticking with my Bowtech Destroyer while I'm still hunting East Texas. Nome of my spots are really set up for rifle hunting anyways. I'll break out the 7 mag in a couple weeks when I head back out to West Texas.

Will be a game time decision but might take both my Marlin .270 and as I just inherited my granddad's Winchester '94 30-30 really wanting to have that in my hands. Figure I can have one for a close shot and another for one at a distance.

Just out of curiosity are they leasing it to other folks or not going to lease it?

New owners are whacked out of their gourds. Not sure what is happening.
