We had been on this ranch three hunting seasons ago and did not kill any thing because we did not see any legal bucks and doe tags were not available. After our first year the ranch manger kicked us off because he wanted a family member on the lease and so they took our spot, we had to move everything off after setting it all up! Other members and the land owner were not happy with the mangers decision. My son was crushed because he had never seen so many deer on a lease, he loved this place. Last spring I got a phone call from the land owner telling me that the old manger was gone and we could have our spot back if we wanted it. So we got back on and Timmy after hunting hard all weekend got this spike at 6pm on Sunday. Funny how things work out.
It is not about what you kill, it is about the hunt....

Good job to him. I like the smile. It says it all.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Congrsts Timmy on your first, Many others will follow hopefully but you never forget the first.
Sounds like you have a good land owner, glad the Goofball lease manager is gone.

Sounds like you have a good land owner, glad the Goofball lease manager is gone. I have herd the story's of others that got screwed over on deer leases, it was the first this has happen to us. And yes we have good and fair land owners, someone is looking out for us
