No does on opening morning where I hunt. Even if so...if does show up, I would wait for the bucks to get on the behinds.. the rut is going to kick up hard...where there's does, there are bucks. If you're in a county that it's legal to shoot does and you need the meat, your choice. I'm gettin' this feeling this weekend may be the start of some good rut activity. Good luck and I hope you get some meat for the freezer.

We don't have a lot of deer on our place so we don't shoot any does at all frown For me it will be a cull buck or a shooter buck. Of course there's always pigs. Hopefully some day I will be able to shoot does there but doesn't look like any time soon frown

Buck or hog for me. Luckily, I can shoot a doe anytime.

I never shoot a doe until after the rut. If I see a hog he will bite the dust, but i'm looking for mister big in a deer.

Not enough deer in my area so I'm not shooting doe. Been hunting this place pretty seriously for 4 years now and we see more bucks than doe every year. Hunting a mature buck whatever he may be. And pigs and varmints.

I'm planning on shooting does and hogs but if the right buck happens along I won't discriminate.

No does allowed at my place. Likely hog, but I won't hesitate if one of the bucks I'm after comes out.

Since Im going to have all my boys with me its prolly going to be whatever walks out first!

A virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his actions, they are dictated by his conscience, rather than by onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact."

The answer is ...................................YES!

I'm a meat hunter. Highly prefer a nice plump die over a buck anyday.
Now don't get me wrong, if a great buck steps out- he will be fired upon. I will just have A WHOLE LOT OF SUMMER SAUSAGE!
