The salt lick in dripping springs is the best. I have eaten at the Cooper's in LLano numerous times and have not been completely satisified only once, but, they are a second to the original salt lick.

They do cook the meat over the pits, however not all of it is cooked on the pit you see -- nowhere near large enough to keep up with the # of customers!

Ate at Coopers in Junction today. Paid 13.94 for a 1 meat plate and sweet tea. Not too good but it cost so much I had to finish it, but even then was not full. Maybe they were just havin a bad day. Anybody ever eat Stubbs in Austin?

Coopers is over rated I think. But I do eat there at least 2 times a year when we head to Menard

1. Blacks BBQ
2. North Main in Euless (buffet)
3. Salt Lick

brisket: Lockhart Smokehouse
ribs: Baker's
sides: Sammy's (dallas), Hammonds (glen rose), Junior's (red oak).
sauce: Hardeman's - (Lancaster rd., dallas)

BUT....it's ALL good.
