I'm at a high fence ranch in Hondo right now. Sitting in the blind with my bow ready to kill something! Every animal is stuck in this 800 acres with the only way out being an arrow or lead through the heart. Just thought I'd let y'all chew on this one for a while. Will post pictures later. stir

I saw 13 bucks this morning but no shooters and then 2 tonight neither of them being shooters. There's a 6.5 y/o 8 point I have my eye on. But we are gonna duck in the morning for youth season and will hopefully run into that 8 point tomorrow night.

What time does the ranch hand tie your deer to a tree?

Take some apples with you to the stand. The bigger bucks like to be hand fed!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

It's nice when you have a tight buck to doe ratio. If people are seeing more does then bucks, better start shooting more does smile

Good luck

I saw 92 deer in one wheat field (LF) one time. About 1/3 of them were bucks.

I see 5-10 bucks at every feeder on my low fence ranch on every outing. It is amazing what happens when you stop trying to fill every last tag just because you legally can.

And my ranch is only 535 acres with heavy pressure all around.
