I will continue to watch it , as long as the daughter with the big front side is on TV. I was impressed with her.

I can't believe no one said anything about the Texas bumper stickers.

I just cant believe that some people dont get that this crap is FAKE.

The story lines are FAKE, and the "hickness" is FAKE.

Really? You're telling me someone would take the effort to put on chaps (which looked brand spankin new) only to wear a tiny little skin tight t-shirt? I guess the brush wasnt that thick. Please, this crap is degrading to Texans and hunters.

It is scripted, drummed up, fake......what more is there to say?

I also like how in the first show they were all wearing coats and jackets.....then the next it was 107. Hmmmmm i guess i missed that jacket weather lol. All the corny sayings is also laying on the hick thing pretty thick.

A lot of it is apparently faked. The dubbed over dialogue is pretty stupid. The notion that all hogs are evil, mean, and out to get people is just absurd.

Didn't take long to get enough of that!

According to one of my best friends who knows the boy on that show, they are most def country folk... and TV has a way of making u look more foolish than u are...Apparently these guys do know how to hunt, and r pretty good at it. They also dont think hogs will sneak into ur house and steal ur baby.

But lets think about it.

The camera man asks. "can these hogs hurt u?" you reply "hell ya, they could tear ur stomach clean open" (which they could) play only the line that u say and play some suspensful kind of scary music over it.... makes it look like u actually think these hogs will sneak ito ur house and steal ur baby... jus sayn, and ya the show is pretty ruh tarted... I also noticed that when the old man says something, it doesnt always match up to what the caption say...

Also, it seems like they will take stuff they say at other times and plug it ito a certain scene...

That and of course they add in the sounds of pigs squealing or stuff running through the brush, put a bright spotlight and camera on the hunters when they are listening, makes em look real worried and all that stuff... not so much fake as it is dramatized by the TV people.

So far in 4 episodes they have had 3 hogs get loose from hobbles, had one dog that got lost and then died later, had a new dog get kicked by a horse, got a stupidly driven jeep stuck, whiplashed the daughter getting it unstuck, have had the lamenting story line of the dog that died, the family business being in financial trouble, the old man not being able to run the business any longer, the old man not being able to go after hogs because of medical reasons, and continue to portray all hogs as viscious killers complete with a story about a friend of the old man who lived alone and all they found of him was his skull - nobody knows what happened to the guy, but the old man believes hogs killed the guy and ate everything but the skull. It is just too hokey to be watched anymore.

all that and they will end up doing all what they needed to do. The good guys always win in dramas. Thats TV for ya, im sure if it was real it wouldnt be the interesting to watch. or it might be more interesting to watch if people knew anything about hogs

I imagine the ratings in NY are skyrocketing, they already think Texans are a bunch of Red-necked backwoods Cowboys

It beats Hoarders, Intervention, and most "reality" shows.

Yea, I am betting that the produces sit there and edit and splice all sorts of things together. With the way the camera cuts in and out they can be doing all sorts of "add ins" and adding lots of goofy sounds. As others have said, it probably plays well with anyone outside of Texas. As stated, people are really intrigued by this state but also there are a lot of misconceptions about Texas.

i dont no about human bones .but when i throw deer carcas in my pig pen they dont leave anything.i like the show cause some of that stuff happins to me.my buddys wear chaps and we get stuck,never had a pig get loose.but im country and the show is very real like to me cause i do the same.but dont have a producer telling me how to hunt or what to say.that girl lea sure makes a hand . wish i had her helping me,cause some of the young guns i got get scared sometimes.good show..

I am with you mbennet . i had much rather be looked as a back wood hillybilly redneck than be a cityfolk walkin around like i got a pole in the tail end and thinkin i am better than every one else like so many people do ...the show is a show and thats it i like it to each his own

The show is for posers. I mean, hogs eating people? LOL....its laughable AT BEST.

Old Mr. Wu in Deadwood seemed to count on hogs eatin' folks.

Is it just me or does it seem like they only catch one or two hogs per trip? I have dozens on the game cam all the time. Paying good money for one or two doesn't seem worth it. Of course according to the show they are waiting in the brush to attack me and eat me alive...

I love how they put up the subtitles whenever the old man talks! I can understand him just fine, I just think it's funny as hell they think he is speaking some kind of foreign language!!!

Hilarious, oh yea, and I like the daughter's rack too. Too bad she is butt ugly...

I noticed the subtitle dont always show what the old man is saying. Like one time he said they were looking for the "rooting" and the sub titles said "rodent"....

watched a couple of episodes to make sure- deleted the ones I had left that I didn't see and won't be watching this anymore. Great pictures but the content seems contrived. something doesn't seem right...

I had an episode recorded and finally got around to watching it. I don't really care what people look like, sound like or act like. If they can make a living controlling hogs, whether it's dramatized for tv or not, good for them!

I keep hoping I'll come across a show that has less talking and more killing.
