Buck appears to be 3.5-4.5 in my opinion. I don't know what the decision is? You are overthinking. You have another buck tag. Shoot him if you will be happy with him. I hunt in a one buck county...I would have a decision to make...you don't. I will say that I think he would grow some more if you let him walk...provided no one else shoots him.

4.5 and 128 inches.
Shoot him!
Slick 8's at 4.5 need to go on the wall. If he was a 10, I might let him go another year.

If he walks up on opening weekend and you get really excited and want to kill him, so be it. If you have to talk yourself into killing him, let him walk. Don't confuse what makes someone else happy with what makes you happy. To kill him just because he might not make it through the season logic can be used on any buck on any lease anywhere. My idea of a perfect season is to see the biggest deer I have ever seen on opening morning and hunt him all year seeing him every once in a while to let me know he is still around, but kill him on the last day of the season. I enjoy the hunt a lot more than the kill. A kill signifies the end of a hunt. Sure, the chance of the killing part has to be there to make the hunt worthwhile, but the kill is not the entire representation of the hunt.

I'll go 4.5 and pushin' 140. My wife shot one very similar to this last year that was 130 1/8 with busted browtines and this one looks to have a tad bit more tine length. He definately wouldn't get a pass from me!

Nice buck. He is either 4.5 or 5.5 and will score 140 or so. Really good 8 point that will look great on the wall. Very good symmetry also.

If you see this buck and he makes you say "I want to shoot that deer",then shoot him ,I would.
