Nice set up! Have you tried the 45-70 Hornady LEVERevolution ammo. It has allowed me to hold very tight groups at 100 yards with my Guide Gun.

Yes! I use a 44 Mag lever gun shooting the 240 grain XTP's. It thumps good, too! And provides quick follow-ups.

My Marlin 35 rem wnt cycle them very well...jams almost every time...the ammo is nice though id shoot it if i could...anyone else have this problem?

I like that lever scout rail, did it line up well?
Would like to put one on my marlin 336 along with a side picatinny rail for a light like that.
Do those lights really perform out to 250 yards?

Yes the scout rail works great.... 250 is a stretch though its no lightforce light 100 yrds easy with this setup anything past that would be hard to identify unless you were using a quality scope

i used the hornady ammo on hog well over 300 pounds at 60 yards and on black bear about two hundred pounds. at 50 yards good expandsion on both rounds hit hog a little far back left a blood trail like a can of red paint being poured out complete pass thrus on hog , bear, and two deer i have used them on. have no info on much over a 100 yards but did not intended for 45/70 to be a long range gun, all my uses of the leverution ammo has been good great bullet for uses i spoke of and love my 45/70 marlin guide gun
NRA all the way god guns and guts made us free , i want all three
