got a 1.5 yr lab under her ear there is a crusty patch of hair not swollen just like it is irritated she is not scracthing it . i am trying to clean it and watch ?

Could be there was a tick there. But to be honest, whenever I've seen this on my dogs, something was irritating the ear and the crusty patch was from scratching til it was raw.

Cleanse/disinfect with iodine wash. Try an OTC triple biotic cream. The best part about this location is they're hard pressed to lick it off!!!!
