How much meat would you think that the pig below would produce when processed? I had the backstraps and tenderloins cut into steaks, the rest of it produced 32 lbs of sausage. That seems kinda light to me; what do you think?

guessing around a 100 pounder, more or less. sounds about right to me. processor will sell you as much sausage as you want to add meat with your game.

1riot1ranger, are you saying youd estimate 100# of processed meat? I may have gotten 45 lbs of meat. It seems like my last 100 lb doe gave more meat. At least it tastes good.

About 1/3 field dressed weight sounds about right.

no, not 100# of processed meat. I was guessing the dressed weight around 100. Hard to tell from the pic but maybe 75-125#? You should expect about a 1/3 of the field dressed weight. For example, my son shot 2 deer last weekend, a buck and a doe. They averaged about 100#'s each. I process my own game so I know how much is "lost". We weighed the processed meat, after deboning and discarding scraps, bloody tissue, etc and had about 60 pounds. How much you get back from the processor will also depend on how much you purchased to mix with your wild game for sausage, etc.
