Hi, we have a couple hunters looking for a lease for the 2012-2013 season. We are management minded guys that all went to college for wildlife, biology, and agriculture. We are looking for a year around lease, and would like to stay around the $750 range. Preferably 2-3 hours from the Dfw. We would also be willing to lease it this year too for a pro-rated rate. We are mainly bow hunters, but would possibly do some gun hunting for hogs and varmints.

You're looking for a place at the absolute bottom of the price range of any lease in the State. Not likely you're going to find much on this site, because apart from really lousy properties, no one has a hard time leasing their land for $750. If it's a halfway decent place, it'll go in less than a week at that price.

If you don't try, you'll never know what could have been. So thanks for your input, but I'll keep trying. Not everyone can afford just any place, so I am very understanding that I'll get what I pay for.

I'm by no means saying you're not going to find one at that price range. Just probably not on this site.

Some guy the other day got a couple hundred acres of prime hill country hunting for $500 total and was wondering if he should take it. There are a ton of landowners out there that aren't going to list their land for lease, but will do so for cheap if they find someone they like and trust.

Just put your ear to the ground and try to make friends with people that own land. Deer and hogs are a nuisance to people that grow crops.

Realistically, to find a parcel of land for that price, you are going to end up with something pretty small and your hunters will be waving at each other from the blinds. Now I acknowledge that there are some folks on here that, by necessity, are hunting 30-40 acre tracts but you are completely out of the management loop in cases like that.

I would like to reiterate that I am looking for a lease, not unsolicited advice. While I'd like to be able to hunt a larger piece of land, it's not feasible at this time so I wil take what I can find.
