First the injury, looks like he's got some gut hanging out???maybe caught on a fence? What do y'all think?

And while your here, Let me hear your thoughts on this one's age, his name is 830, and I've posted him several times, Im just still not 100% sure how old he is.

Thanks

The top buck looks like he narrowly escaped death by an archer this past weekend. The other buck appears to be 4.5 from those pics.

I sure hope your wrong about the arrow stx that deer is 2.5 tops in my eye's and shouldn't even be considered close to a shooter. However, I've never seen barbed wire do that kind of damage. Except on Maybe a pair of my pants

Well my first impression was 4.5 but I trust the forum as I've learned a lot here. Its south of Madisonville. We are in co-op management and haven't killed a Buck out there since 05, however my neighbor does not abide by the rules. I still will and hope the Buck avoids the bullet

I would not say an arrow wound. If so, then he was shot at illegally, that is if the camera date is correct. On 9/30 you can tell it is a new wound, but on 10/03 it looks to already be healing. Probably tore the hide on barbed wire. In any event my guess he will be fine.
