I've been wanting to put together some sort of "ghillie"-type suit for some time so I started this afternoon with the head cover. I'll try and keep updates coming after I work all weekend. Before picture with "mesh" jacket and head-cover: View from head-on (lots of light in the bathroom): With my head tilted down slightly to show consistency of ruffage: (in case the deer come from above):

Yea you got watch them coming from above. I've seen somewhere on this forum that the darn things are starting to hide out in the trees.

I've completed a front panel and it looks pretty good.....it's a little hard to tell from the pictures but the texture is turning out great. After the glue dries, I wad the whole thing up and it really brings the fabric alive.

Self-portrait this morning on stand. It might need a little touch-up but looks awesome for early season hunting. I'll try and get more pictures later our in tje woods.

Finished product. Total cost for me was about $20 and about 10 hours. Another field picture taken before this evening's hunt. No touch-up or special lighting. I think it's pretty dern convincing, what do you think?

Looks great, and a heck of a lot cheaper than the same type stuff they sell in stores. You look like Chewbacca lol

Thanks. Except I don't carry a chest-strap of Zippo lighters - lol. This thing breathes well, it's not heavy and it's built large so I can still fit into my winter clothing. I'm pretty pleased.
