Sorry if this topic has been posted previously...
I have not shot my bow in 4 years. Its been inside house stored appropriately the whole time. I want to start bowhunting again, but should I replace the string first?
As you can tell, I would consider myself to still be a bowhunting novice - bought the bow on a whim - not something I have done tons of.
Thanks.

I would it has probably stretched out since then and will affect your accuracy to some extent.

I would. Even though its been in the house and put away in a case humidity and moisture have still affected the strings life. It's kind of like that ol' gun thats been stored away for some time in a safe place but has still managed to collect a few rust spots..

You never save money by not replacing a string, it could save you lots of money on doctor bills if one blows up in your face.

Take it to a pro shop and have them check and inspect your bow.
