I hunt Commerce and have killed good bucks there every year. The hogs are really taking over in the area like everywhere else but after I shoot 2 or 3 they go more nocturnal and then the deer really show up more.

This place I am going is 600+ acres high fenced!! I get the choice of Exotic or Whitetail and a meat hog. I prefer WT, was wondering when the deer around there usually start their rut!!

It's high fence! What does it matter when the rut is? Kind of like catching goldfish out of a fish bowl!

Kenneth Talent used to own it. I guess he still does. We went on a hog hunt there one time and seen a ton of game. We shot our fair share of hogs for sure.

Yes, I hunted there 5-6 years ago. No complaints, except that I cut myself with my broadhead and required 6 stitches - but no fault of theirs!
At the time, there was plenty of game - saw some nice wt's in distance, plenty of fallow and lots, I mean lots of hogs.

Well high fenced or not I am pretty stoked about going. I have had a black cloud following me for the last 2 years with a bow!! Like being at full draw on a nice 10 point WT buck and a limb falling off the tree next to me, or dogs come out of nowhere and start chasing the animals!! Only kill with a bow is a hog that I walked up on bedded down and was 5 yards so that doesn't even count as a first bow kill in my book!!! I am just stuck on what I want to take out there!!! I am having a hard time deciding between a whitetail(only because of wanted to get rid of the black cloud) or an Axis buck!! I guess it depends on walks out in front of that I can't let walk away!!!
