Good to hear, so you wouldn't mind speaking with a Game Warden and provide the guy's information?

You guys are Internet bad azzez! Not so much in the mud.

Here's what happened:
I pulled up to the sand bar running about 50 when I saw the decoys, but no hunters, and I don't know about other people's boats, but mine doesn't have brakes or reverse! You can't turn left or right, unless you want to total your boat and kill yourself, so I pulled up on the sandbar. This guy was crying and whining so I walked up to him and his buddy and said " I'm sorry for running over your decoys....I couldn't stop.....and this is the boat lane to come in here."
He didn't say anything. I walked back to my boat and got my stuff. Walked out to where I hunt everyday and looked around. There were at least 20 people out on this sandbar! I saw this guy walk up to my boat and take some pics, so I started walking back .....to see if I could be any help.....and he went back to his spot where he was hunting. My group, 2 adults an 2 minors, met me back at the boat and wanted to leave because there were so many people. We got the boat out and left. I wasn't trying to ruin anyone's hunt, I was going to hunt the same spot I do everyday! I don't know how d-bags keep finding my spot! See you soon for big duck season!
Love
Barney

it wasnt worth someone getting hurt over, no one was shooting anything. its not like they ruined a potential bang up hunt.

I know it shocks you at first but still man that guy knew what he was doing.

That is a unique statement...boat lane continues on the other side of a sandbar? Unless you are just being sarcastic.

sir, i respect that you dont have reverse or brakes, but how close did you get before you saw 2 mojos in front of you and 3 doz decoys? mojos can be seen from a half mile away. do you not have control over your boat?

and yes, there were around 10 groups in the area. all of which where there by 5 am. why would you come out at 8 and not expect to ruin peoples hunts?

sir, you may hunt there everyday, but it is not "your spot". if you have hunted in this spot as long as i think you have, you should know that it is a popular area especially with the low levels and concentration of birds.

please have respect for other hunters next time.

Well waltz pretty obvious your not so bright. Pulling up to shoot teal well after LST.

Maybe your not so familiar with the flight pattern of teal.

Sounds like a real secret spot you had on a boat lane with 20 other people on it. You sure use that Airboat for what it was meant for... GETTING TO PLACES OTHERS CANNOT GET TO.

FAIL

Thanks for sharing your side of the story. I understand not being able to react with an airboat, just not why you were heading onto a sandbar lane every day. I know airboats will run on mud no problem, but running onto sand can get you into trouble of getting stuck for a while. I will admit, you know that particular area and boat better than I do though.

Just because it was a boat lane last year, doesn't make it a boat lane this year.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your story.

Your spot huh??
I guarantee you that any spot you call "your spot" is probably 10 other peoples "spot" too. Just because you have an air boat does not mean that other people can't get where you are.

jwaltz,
I have hunted on what I found after the fact to be an airboat lane pinch point on texoma, same situation. I had no problem with it after I thought about it. The operator was sitting in a high seat, but I suppose it was still possible he did not see my decoys till it was too late and the airboat ended up turning around and going on about his way. But if I am reading your responses right, are you are saying you stopped and parked your boat on the boat lane right behind the guy your complaining about for setting up on the same boat lane?

I wanna know what he was gonna do since it was "a good thing you didn't go say anything to him". Then he says that you guys are internet bad azzes?

Some people confuse me. And it was "his spot" and he knew it so well wouldn't he know that'd he'd be getting stuck right there. Some people waste time trying to defend the dumbest things.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
