i have never really understood this on the White tail deer regulations for Fannin county.

"Bag limits, provision for the take of antlerless deer, and special requirements of the county, shall be as specified for the period Nov. 24-27, 2011."

I am probly wrong, buit to me it looks like i cant kill a doe except between 24-27...??? Am i wrong?

Unless you have MLD permits or during archery season

Purchase an archery stamp and you can fill your does tags during bow season. The statement you are talking about means that during youth season, youths can take does. For adults you have what is popularly termed "doe days" and you can take them during Thanksgiving weekend. Something that is relatively new to many counties...but not where I hunt in Freestone...

We hunted in Mills county for so long that I did not realize that there were still parts of Texas that doe permits were still necessary. And I had never heard of doe days until last year. It was after we moved to Freestone county, to a good lease, overrun with doe that I found out about the no-doe situation. I bought a crossbow for bow season. And missed my only shot. Now that I know the place and habits of the deer, I'm hoping to fill my doe tags next weekend. And we have applied for doe permits, so we'll see what we get for rifle season.

We have 7 game cams and on them we see a 75:1 doe to buck ratio.

The specific part you are talking about is doe days, that always fall around thanksgiving. You are allowed to take does, but only during those days. Like others have said if you bow hunt you can take them in archery season with a bow.
