I'm hunting in palestine and have never been there before. I'll be on 80acres so its not that big of a place. Its hasn't been hunted in a few years but we've been feeding all year. I want to kno what size of deer are in the area and what can I expect... No game cams b/c there on another lease. Its Anderson County...

You can shoot big deer in this area. I'm just south of you in Houston County and have taken some really nice deer over the past 5 years. The issue is the amount of hunting presure in the area, so our best results are in late Oct-week of Thanksgiving. The rut ususally is in full swing by the last week of Oct as well. Fortunatly, we are on MLD 3 property, so we can bring out the big guns Oct- end of Feb. We typically see larger groups of hogs from Sept- Oct and end of Jan-Feb. The deer and hogs seem to turn nocturnal after Thanksgiving through Dec.

Where in Houston Co you at Stevarino? We hunt just outside of Grapeland, and got up to MLD3 this year.
