The wife was driving to her parents, and I told her to run over that copperhead. She did good. She has learned well thru the years. She slammed on the breaks and skinned him up pretty good. One hit to the head with a stick and it was finished.

Hate to burst your bubble, but my 4ryo and 15month old are a whole lot more important to me than the copperheads. This is the 24th or 25th one killed this summer alone up

The OP stated the snake was killed while driving to the parents' house. No toddlers out and about on the highway, or so I would presume. I have no beef with the guy killing the snake but I also understand that all critters play some role in the world. I don't like rats and I don't kill every snake I see. Venomous snakes are certainly different from non-venomous; killing is easy to defend. The tendency of some "outdoorsmen" to kill every snake they see isn't so easy to defend.

Just my two cents worth. Worth half of that amount probably.

I understand both sides. I don't kill every snake I see and I relocate many that were around my house or around camp. If I don't have the time to relocate them, they die and I have no hard feelings about it.

In the field, I usually just let them be or catch them and bring em to camp for others to enjoy rofl
