heard several times its no bueno.

whats the deal with it? the blades come open?

Yep, blades deploy very easy and they will with the slightest brush against grass, limbs, fence, etc...

I personally have been successful on several spot and stalk hunts with a rage. The major draw back is having to check the blades before shooting. I have had just as much success with Slick Tricks.

If they are so touchey wouldn't they deploy at the sudden jolt of the bow firing?

I went to Academy and picked up some new Rocky Mountain 100 grain fixed blade heads that I've been using for years with great success, and for a moment I almost picked up a pack of those Rage heads just to try them.

Glad I didn't since reading this post.

I'm always of the belief anyway that if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
