Alright I am gonna give tinks 69 a try but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be better if I put it out the night before I go hunt or should I put it out that morning on the way to the stand? Even sounds like a lot of people like dragging a rag behind them and attaching a rag to their boot and dragging it on the way to the stand?? What would be the best thing I could do?

I left it out for 3 days this weekend through Monday - never had a buck come to that stand, but then the rut wasn't on apparently where I hunt yet. I had hoped that it would be going last weekend but not the case. Perhaps this cold front will get it started - it has too, it's North Texas and Thanksgiving for crying out loud!
Don't know about you guys but I'm tired of sweating in my stand!

I doubt that it would work this weekend. Wind and rain will diffuse the odor too much for it to do any good.

Give it a try. The worst that will happen is they ignore it! And you never know it might bring in the big one.

My thoughts exactly...don't EVER not try it because you think it won't work. YOU NEVER KNOW! I hunt a north wind stand and I still put tinks out even though the wind will be blowing the scent away from where I "expect" the deer to come from. You never know when a big buck will try to sneak in the back door. Put that scent out and get up in that tree! No more sweating in the stand!!! I'm gone to the woods.
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life.

i wouldnt use doe estrus if they arent ruttin. the bucks know it isnt rut yet and will avoid the smell. use deer heard in a stick year round, but only use estrus during the rut.

Dr. James Kroll's research indicates that all of these scent attractants are ineffective. I believe this information can be accessed in the article posted in the Dallas Morning News article from three weeks ago.

I went and found the article in the Morning News. The following are excerpts from that article....
■ Scent lures don't work: Kroll's research indicates that deer are curious animals that may stop to investigate a new odor in their home territory, but the deer are just as likely to be attracted to human urine or the interior smell of a new car than any commercially marketed sex lure. Sex lures are billed as urine from an estrous doe.
■ Scent containment products work to a degree: None is capable of totally hiding the human odor from a whitetail's incredible nose.
"Wind direction is important in where you set up to hunt deer, but it's also important in how you travel to your stand location, Kroll said.
"All the scent-killer products help, but the best I've ever used is skunk scent. Skunk scent works by totally overpowering every other smell. The main thing is to stay downwind of the deer."

I'd disagree. I like having the scents deployed in my area. I've seen to many deer come in and check them out. Dont' get me wrong, nothing beats having the wind in your face, but hunts I've gone on, you can't always count on that.
I don't worry to much about a deer drag, but like the Tink's bombs. I put them our before climb in my stand.
I'd say deffinately give them a try and form your own opion.

I am huge fan of Dr deer but I have watched some pretty nice bucks travel up to 150 to 200 yards up wind and put there nose right up to my tinks scent bombs. Curiosity or whatever who cares they seem to like it at the right time.

If I have a deer stop and sniff the strange scent because he's curious...there will be a sharp muzzy heading his way very soon....scent bombs work IMO
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life.

If you get the scent bombs, you can wear gloves and prepare them in advance. I don't recommend getting that stuff on you hands, and not be able to wash afterwards. And the handwas, gives off a smell, sorta deffeats what you are trying to do.

when there rutting i like to drag it behind me on a rag or put a couple drops on the bottem of my boot and then when i get to the stand put a couple drops somewhere on my blind... usually the roof. i think it helps the wind cary the scent down wind farther.

I would not put it on my blind but rather on a tree limb in a shooting lane. You don't want him looking at you.

I have used 2 bottles this year during the rut and it has not worked for me. I have herd good things but not in any of my experiences with it this year! I even had decoy in field coverd in it. still nothing!
If I put my wife in a high fence will her rack get bigger?
