hey everyone here in SC the bucks are really hitting the ground hard as far as making territory scrapes and rubs has anyone got any experiance with these two scents and how exactly should i use them

I dont know anything about hunting in SC, but I know when I was younger my dad would always cut the tarsal gland off the back leg of a buck me or my brother shot and keep it and hang it out at his blind, never failed dad would shoot a buck off of it, and it was usualy a pretty good one.
