I was just given a big storage crate in pieces and a couple of sections of scaffolding. My first thought was to weld the scaffold together and set the box on top of it. But, after assessing how heavy that box is, I think it is going to be a very near the ground blind. I know there has been alot of talk about using these as blinds, but I haven't seen any finished products. Has anyone got a pic of theirs put together? is there anything I should know before I put this box together?
Thanks!!! Matt
The psycho nut bags have always been there. They just get better press now. Take away their guns, they'll use knives. Take away their knives and they'll use sticks!!

I've got three of the shipping crates. Two of them we removed one side panel, moved them together, and will finish the sides and roof the top to keep weather out for overnight stays. It's now 8ft x 10ft, 7ft floor to ceiling. The third unit we use for storage.
I don't recall who it was but I'm sure a THF member made a hunting blind/stand out of one or more of these. Try the "search" for wooden shipping crates.

Matt: There is a guy on craigslist that sells wooden crates for hunting blinds. He has pics of blinds he has built using crates. The ones I saw he put on a trailer, like an old boat trailer. Then he put tin on top of the crate to make a roof. He also cut windows out and used plexiglass or you could just use wood to make a window covering. Put carpet inside and paint oitside

Friend, I wouldn't harm thee for all the world, but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.
