That is cool. One thing I've come realize as I have gotten older is that life comes in phases. We have phases where we're happy and some not. Our toys change too. From super hero figurines to bikes to cars and new shotguns One thing for sure, a child's love is the greatest whether at age 3 or age 30. My 7 year old loves to go hunting now. Great post!

Wonderful story, funny how their little minds think, we on the the other had had a different issue...

My 3 year old knew I was going hunting with PawPaw in the morning, and we was a mad boy when he found out that he couldnt go with us (he pretty much goes with us everywhere). We diffused the situation by agreeing with him that we wouldnt clean the birds until we got home. We collectively shot 24 birds oppening morning. When we got home to clean them he was pumped, holding the birds and ready to go. We got started and he quickly realized that it was a little messy and a little bloody. When I asked him if he wanted to start helping, he looked at me and without missing a beat said, "No, I fine, I just hold the bowl". Gotta love them little ones!!!!

It's a full-time job just treasuring these little guys. I may have to wait around for grandkids to have this same season again!

I have helped/hindered my wife raise our 3. Feels good to have the house back to just two. My grandson is 4,and I can almost trust him to be bathroom capable all by himself. That day is just around the corner, and he and I will spend hours afield!!
