I wanted to get some advice on creating scrapes.. I have noticed alot of products on the market and want to know how well this tactic really works. Ive always been the guy who uses cover sent and sets up and waits in choke points. Never been one to use calls or lure a big buck in with attractant. How does it work? When is the best time to utilize this trick? Any Tips on what to do or what not to do would be greatly appreciated.

I like to shovel up an actual scrape from another area and put the dirt and all into my man made scrape.

I've never had any success with "mock scrapes",I prefer the real thing.I do know that you can sure run deer off whith unnatural scents.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Never had much success with scrapes. Put trail cameras on them and had a few different bucks use the same scrape only one time in a week or more. Also Texas deer just make a lot of scrapes and never use it again from what I have seen. I prefer to hunt funnels or pinch points or saddles in between food and bedding. In the rut hunt the food source where the doe are.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

If you want to hunt over scrapes, find a line of'em. Then, make you a couple mock scrapes amongst them. Just take a stick and rake it out. Then pee in them. Only way I hunt over a scrape.
