Is there anything else I could spread to keep the turkey coming and on a regular schedule?

I use milo with corn, that way if deer or hogs show up and eat all the corn the turks will still have something there to keep them coming back. You will get other birds coming to assist them with the milo clean up though, which is a benefit on my place because it is usually quail.

I usually put the corn in first and the milo/hen scratch on top, so that it kind of filters down thru the corn. If you put milo on the bottom, it is so small, it might just pour thru.

Some hen scratch mix that has crushed corn, peas, milo, oats and wheat has worked very well in the past and was cheaper than corn

I put a round bale of oat hay out and had exellent results. Try a bale of Milo if you can find it.

Apparently they love oats. Put mine in Wednesday and watched as they scratched around the foodplot and ate them all weekend. Sometimes as many as 60 birds in the plot steadly eating.
