I know no one means harm or went over their limit but... if a fed GW (the will check spare tires and glove boxes for no reason!!) shows up and birds are in a pile, y'all are in trouble. Doesn't matter to them if you each shot 15, they will write a ticket possibly. And if 1 extra bird is in the pile, they love to write tickets to all. Just saying. We used to do it but have been well advised to not do it anymore. All outfitters have been informed to let their hunting parties know the law. Saves you countless rediculous questioning about who shot what and more beer drinking time. You, sir, are correct. The pile will cramp your style.

Limit plus freebees. Even shot my first white wing. Saw a lot of collards flying. More that two years ago. The old guys beat the young uns. That is always good.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

I got 7 doves at ranch just outside Brookshire, all mourning doves no whitewings. Last year at the same spot, I was covered up in whitewings.

My husband is dove hunting with a few other guys. He said they are having a blast but haven't limited out yet. Should be home today with quite a few tales to tell. They are out by Graford, Texas, close to all the PK fires.

I couldn't get out until Saturday morning, and paid one of the guys who sells hunts here to shoot on a place east of San Antonio. I probably should have known better. It was completely shot out. Very, very few birds. Guys who had hunted there the prior two days said the same thing -- shot out after two days. Would have been nice to have a clue that it was going to get that kind of pressure.
I've always enjoyed my prior hunts in Texas, and have had nothing but good times since I relocated here 7 months ago. This was my first bad experience in Texas, and it will make me a lot more careful about who I spend my money with. Live and learn...

Assuming that post was directed at Water Turkey 2, I'd venture a guess that he was jesting... unless he and his three pals actually managed to shoot over 10,000 birds in a day.... Just sayin'.

killed limits Fri, Sat and was 3 shy of a limit on Sunday. Not a bad weekend. Out of 8 fields only 1 had birds.. That was the only bummer.

Shot 15 Thursday, 15 Friday, 9 Saturday, and 11 yesterday. Hunted 4-5 different properties and saw birds at every spot.
All in all it was a good long holiday weekend!

Hunted 3 of these last 4 days: 2/4 and today -- 15. Guess I finally ranged in. The decoys helped a lot too out here in El Paso area.

Limited every day. Thursday very quick, today slower. Switched from 20 gauge 7/8 ounce loads to 12 gauge 1 1/4 ounce loads high brass yesterday afternoon and this morning due to high winds resulting in more kill. Going back at 4:30 to finish my limit. Slept 19 hours in the last 5 nights. Love it.
