SIG's M4, the M400 in 5.56.......... got a few in today, more on the way... the first one is mine. The others are spoken for in presales....
But at $915, they are going to go quick.
Very nice, great dry-fire trigger, fantastic finish, feels like a milled gun not a cast.....
Will let you know more tomorrow. Going to shoot open sights first, then scope it with a PEPR/Something, then set up the EOTech on it....

I think I'm the only guy in Texas that hates collapsing stocks.  That's almost all you see nowdays.

Not sure about the m4 but i have a sig 516 patrol and love it!!!
Great quality and very light.

Isn't the M400 a direct impingement, garden variety M4 clone? It seems to have good specs (although some folks are not impressed by specs) Do they have an M16 bolt carrier or semi auto? I wonder whose parts they use?

Wow, proud of those things they are. They are high but excellent. The ACS from Magpul is cheaper and really good too. I still prefer the LMT though.

They look a whole lot like the Vltor IMOD or EMOD to me. I have the IMOD on my 6.8 and really like it. For under $100 they are hard to beat IMHO.

IT;s here.....
RedneckMesiah and his nephew showed up,(fresh from IRAQ) so we shot some clays and visited, had to watch it rain.... not for long, but it was rain...
I got to shoot only 20 rounds open sights....
loved it, very good.... nice trigger, and very accurate... pics to follow

That was a quick box of wolf 55gr at 100 yards, off the bench but free handed, no bags or vise or rest,
I think it will be much better scoped and EOTEChed, and with 62 gr ammo........
again,..... very nice in the 915 dollar range.

I wonder whose parts they use? Well, I don't know all those answers yet, but its not a garden variety M4. First, it's not an M4 barrel. Second it has a great factory cut out ambi mag release and ambi safety.... not aftermarket crud. The ambi mag release is innovative... As for the bolt group, it looks like an M16 bolt carrier, and it has the M4A3 feed ramp slots. The stock seems slightly longer and more stable (PH, I too prefer fixed stocks!) Very smooth milled feeling finish, no tooling marks or splatter on finish...
