Just curious who has birds...and where?

Was out looking at some fields Sunday and found one that had probably 50 or so on the power lines all in one tight little area so I feel I should be able to scratch out at least a half limit. North of DFW...

I do, in Thrall. I live in CS but am fortunate enough to have access to a huge farm outside of Thrall. Its about 3,000 acres, corn, sorghum, and sunflower. And there are two ponds right in the middle of it all. We've limited out every time we've hunted there for the past 2 or 3 years in a row.

We have several fields where they are stacked deep in Delta county. Prospects are looking really good for the hunters that are coming up with us this week. We have the sole rights to @8K-10K acres of croplands. And if it weren't for a handful of fields on the far south east end of our properties I would be singing a different tune. All of our fields in Delta and Lamar counties seem to have at least some birds but only a few are really thick. I expect a barrell burner on Thursday.

East Bernard...Just joined dove lease for this season. Lot's of corn crops gone bad and left to die in the ground! But if you really want to see a some birds, come on over to the house (Sugar Land)! My neighbor's bird feeder is bringing the white wing in droves!

A couple of days ago I picked up some cheap lead at Academy in Plano off Spring Creek. When I was leaving out the back around 7:30 in the evening there 100-200 sitting on the telephone lines.

The next day I drive all over the lease and saw maybe two dozen in 3 hours. bang

No doves to speak of yet. Maybe 30-40. But I did have a group of canadas land in my pasture this morning. VERY strange!!
