check out www.chasingame.com for reviews on all of them

as far as the best, nothing even comes close to the buckeyecam, and the price reflects it http://www.dfwhd.com/buckeyecams/index.htm

I've been pretty well impressed with my $300 Cuddeback.

There are a lot of good ones. As far as set up goes I like to position mine so that they face up and down the path as opposed to 90 degrees to the path. That way i have gotten a lot of better photos as the wildlife is in the field of view for a longer time to allow for the triggering of the camera.

The Moultrie i60 and i40 are two of the hottest right now. The type camera will depend upon how much or how little you are willing to spend. If you want something very basic yet dependable, get the Bushnell TrailCam.

On the other end, the Reconyx is an excellent camera for around $560.00!

al depends on how much you are willing to spend. This can become an obsession rel wuick, and an EXPENSIVE one at that!

Brands- Cuddeback best for sure, expensive at the least
Predator- great products and expesive as well.
Bushnell and Moultrie make decent cameras with varied price range, not in same line of quality with first 2.
Wildview-cheap and you get what you pay for

equipment needed-digital: sd card, maybe a digital in field viewer, cuddeback makes a nice one.
bungees/rope. batteries

Types- digital or not
video
infrared or flash, no-flash...infrared is hot right now!

Qualities- CUDDEBACK or PREDATOR for sure!

reviews of past experiences- cuddeback no flash is a killer product. If you are willing to spend the money you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Not to but heads...but Cuddebak and Predator were some of the worst things to happen to trail cams this year. Not saying Cudde didn't have a good cam once upon a time but this '07 line up was full of problems.

Predator talked big and came up way short, picture quality and flash range were awful, I don't know about you but to me those two are pretty important.

Your results may differ but after keeping up with the reviews on chasingame.com and other users experiences I don't see how those two could be your top picks.

That's the thing, when I spend money on something I expect it to work. I don't want to send it back and forth several times and finally get something that sort of works.

Not sure what your problem is with chasingame but I have heard these things from several different websites and people.

I have tried several different cameras and have wasted a lot of money on them, guess what, every one of them is sitting in my garage broken. I finally found a camera that works and doesn't fall short of their claims, I've used them in several different areas and situations and they always work. I'll stick with my buckeye's

oh yea they are coming out with a camera in the $600 range in the next couple of months...

I have several of the Moultrie 4.0's and they work just fine. I have not had any problems with them, although this is the first year i've used them. The mounting straps they come with are crap and mine dont get the advertised 60 day battery life. I have to change the batteries every couple of weeks. Overall, I like them.
