Way too many options and opinions. Everyone is going to tell you their opinion based on what they shoot or who sponsors them. Truthfully all the mftgs make great bows.
For example, I shoot Mathews but my BIL shoots a very nice PSE and my nephew shoots Bowtech. Right on the money, I did that same thing back in the day; when I was shooting for Hoyt it was Hoyt, then Mathews, then Bowtech, now it's what I want. To be honest in the last three years, I've bought and sold a bowtech, a quest, an Alpine, and have kept my bear SQ32.. go figure!

Hoyt Carbon Element is the bow of the year, tighter groups and flatter shots with more kinetic energy, plus it's lighter. I put down my Mathews bows for this one. We'll see if Mathews follows suit next year with carbon.

Whatever bow that you can stick one in the ticker is the best. BUt whatever bow you buy, learn the ins and outs, the strenghts and weaken's of whatever you buy.

PSE Evo has had good response,
Hoyt Element gets some folks excited
Bowtech Invasion
Mathews Z7 extreme
IE based on which brand you prefer they all have a great bow out this year and it just depends what you are looking for. X2 I think that the Z7 Extreme is the best bow in the market...although I shoot a Mission...

I shoot a mathews monster now. But I'm torn between the Z7 extreme and new breed bows. I love the monster but I think I'm going to replace it before next season.

You should first "test drive" all the brands mentioned above then ask yourself "which bow fit me best, and is in my price range?" that is then the best bow on the market for you!!

Been shooting a Mathews for 12 years now. Just bought the new Mathews Z7 Extreme 3 weeks ago. Almost went with the Hoyt CRX but couldn't switch over. The Hoyt was just as smooth, quiet and felt really good though. I am just a Mathews man I guess. You will just have to shoot all of em and you will be able to tell which is a best fit for you.

Have been shooting a bowtech for the last several years....I picked up a Z7 w/ a 75lb draw, and i fell in love....was looking for something that would assist me in elk hunting but was also silent enough to take a Texas whitetail @ 20 yds(hopefully)...must say for my preference I dont think there is a better bow....be safe in those woods

I have been shooting bowtech for about 7 years and have nothing but good things to say about them. My first bowtech was a Extreme VFT and i have killrd a many of deer with it. I desided to up grade this year and bought a destroyer 350. Mainly because i got a heck of a deal on it for $650 rigged out from a guy i know. I also know it has a very low shot count. It is a very sweet shooting bow unlike most dual cam bows it does not have a hard break over point in it and it is super quite. The first time I took it out at the deerlease everyone could not believe how quite it was and everyone i let shoot it was amazed and they all shoot different equipment. But i agree with everyone else it is all personal preference. Had i found a Mathews Z7 for the same deal i might have been a Mathews man this year.

I'm new to archery, got a Hoyt Carbon Matrix early this year. Have been 100% satisified. I don't get to practice as much as I would like, but even though a novice I'm grouping tight. It is also so smooth and quiet. I have so much to learn about archery, after a year or two will test shoot some others, but Carbon Matrix more than I need right now.

I posted a similar thread the other day as I have never bow hunted. One poster said, "try as many as you can and the bow will pick YOU". I thought that to be very good advice. I am going to do just that!
