Hunted there one year on the Pecos by Fort Lancaster. Plenty of deer, just not too big. But, there were some nice looking bucks killed. It's just a loooong way from anywhere.

I hunted there last yr and shot a decent 8pt WT. Lot of muleys there. I guess it really depends on where you are in the county. I was just east of Dryden
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

I hunted there a few years ago. A lot of deer including Muleys. No doubt you should have plenty of opportunities to kill. It's around 8.5 hours from Houston. Good Luck

I have hunted Terrell county for 35 years, it is amazing country. Depending on where that area is you could see mulies and whitetails. They aren't the largest racks but pretty good bodies compared to hill country deer. Take VERY comfortable boots, clothes for cold or hot (you never can tell down there)and whatever you even think you might need. As stated earlier if you forget your flashlight you ain't gonna run to WalMart and get a replacement. Good luck!
