Went to Cactus Creek Bowhunting ranch a few weekends ago and am just now getting around to posting up my pictures from the hunt there. Had not planned on a fallow deer because I have just never had the itch to take one, but when this one in velvet came in, it was a no brainer for me. 20 yard shot and he dropped in his tracks. Took a good BBQ hog that evening. The red deer was from my previous trip there in March as well as three of the hogs on that trip.






The rams there tend to take naps right at prime time, which kind of made me mad at first, but I had already taken a good hog and had to laguh at it.

I have to say that so far this is definatley the best bowhunting day lease that I have ever been to. The quality and number of animlas is just awsome.

Go to their website and you can look at the prices. The ranch runs some great specials when they need to thin out the exotic does. The Red deer cow was $300, the hogs are included in all packages and you can take 3 per day.
