There is already a warning out on this guy that I did not see until after this happened. I dont want anyone second guessing my intentions, so I documented everything for this post. I apologize for the long read, but I want everyone to be carefull dealing with this guy.

Here is timeline breakdown of how things have gone down:

8/1/11 - Posted WTB Destroyer add on the Green Screen
8/1/11 - Received a PM from BradB31 - "i have a bare 340 brand new never shot. looking to sell it 600 tyd. if your interested let me know. thanks."
8/2/11 - Spoke with Brad Biddle (BradB31) on the phone and agreed to purchase the bow. I sent Paypal immediately, and he was to have his wife mail the bow the next morning. He said possibly overnight, but I would definitely have it by Friday (8/5/11)
8/3/11 - Text messages exchanged with Brad Biddle asking if it was shipped and for a tracking number. He said wife did ship it and he would get me the tracking the next day when he spoke with his wife.
8/5/11 - Again asked for tracking. Was told it should be here today. Also was told his dad died so he was out of town and did not get the tracking number for me.
8/6/11 - Text to Brad Biddle saying I did not receive the bow the day before. No response.
8/8/11 - Again ask for tracking. Brad Biddle calls and tells me his wife got the addresses backwards. She shipped it from me to her. Told me he would bring it to DFW on 8/10/11.
8/10/11 - Text to Brad Biddle asking for his ETA. He says he is not coming until 8/11/11 now. Said he would also throw in a QAD HD rest to make up for it.
8/11/11 - Receive a text from Brad Biddle saying he is not coming to DFW. Said he had to go to Indiana last minute. Told me he shipped the bow 2nd day, and gave me a tracking number.
8/12/11 - Tracking number is not valid. Sent a text to Brad Biddle asking to verify. No response.
8/13/11 - I filed a dispute on Paypal.
8/13/11 - Reveive voicemail from Brad Biddle saying his phone has been down, he was calling from a buddy's phone. Said not to worry that the bow WAS on its way. He said if it does not come in he will personally meet me at a DFW bow shop and buy me whichever bow I wanted.
8/17/11 - Receive call from Brad Biddle. He says the post office found the bow. Said the box was damaged and the label was ripped off. Bow was in Tyler and should be on its way the next day. Should be here by Saturday (8/19/11).
8/19/11 - Still no tracking number or bow. Said he did not have time to call post office lady he was dealing with due to TTHA show.
8/20/11 - Text & call Brad Biddle to ask for tracking number. No response.
8/21/11 - Text & call Brad Biddle to ask for updates. No response.
8/21/11 - I upgraded my dispute on Paypal from a dispute to a claim.
8/22/11 - Brad Biddle sends a text saying I have to trust him that bow is on its way. He said is "dead sick" and was turning his phone back off. Also said he would call the next day.
8/23/11 - No bow. No phone call from Brad Biddle.

This guy says he is working on a hunting TV show, and he has a website with sponsors. I will be emailing this to every sponsor on his website, as well as filing a police report. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it has gone too far.

I would strongly suggest you DO NOT do business with:

You gave him plenty of opportunity...maybe too much. Sad day when people do others like this. Hope you get it worked out or get your money back from PayPal.

Why I hate buying stuff off the internet. Fortunately the only thing I have bought off of here the seller said you have a good post history and have been a member longer than me, I will send you the merchandise and when you get it mail me a cashiers check. I asked him to let me know when he got the check so I would know all was good, I got the stuff and mailed the check, but he never let me know... so I dont know he got it but guess he did.

And NOT BACKING THIS GUY UP AT ALL but the postal system has... alot to be desired!

Sorry for your trouble and frustration.

matt

Bino? Stole a set of binoculars?

I have been curious if there were ever folks that tried to pass themselves off as show producers to try to scam a hunt. Were they doing that?

Update: Just received a call from Brad. He said he is going to personally bring me my money AND the bow on Monday or Tuesday.

Maybe this will all be done with soon.

Quote:
Wire fraud, in the United States Code, is any criminally fraudulent activity that has been determined to have involved electronic communications of any kind, at any phase of the event. The involvement of electronic communications adds to the severity of the penalty, so that it is greater than the penalty for fraud that is otherwise identical except for the non-involvement of electronic communications. As in the case of mail fraud, the federal statute is often used as a basis for a separate, federal prosecution of what would otherwise have been a violation only of a state law.

The crime of wire fraud is codified at 18 U.S.C. § 1343, and reads as follows:

Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, transmits or causes to be transmitted by means of wire, radio, or television communication in interstate or foreign commerce, any writings, signs, signals, pictures, or sounds for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. If the violation affects a financial institution, such person shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned not more than 30 years, or both.
