My buddy gave me some hornady brass. I know with like Remington it's a thicker brass compared to Winchester so u need to reduce ur starting loads. How does hornady brass compare and approx how much do I need to reduce my starting loads? Thanks again guys and sorry for all my newbie questions.

Hornady brass is good. What caliber are we talking about?
It will have slightly less case capacity than Win, but similar to Remington. It also depends on which caliber. Just use common reloading practice and watch for pressure as you get up to recommended max.

I am loading hornady brass for my 300 wby. It is nice brass for sure. I bought it unfired in sealed box from a member here it is on its second load now and has done well. I have never noticed a dif in case capacity or thickness of the brass between winchester, remington or the hornady, but rem is a harder brass and tends to crack/split more while winchester and hornady tends to be a little softer.
