I know what you mean. I get 10-13 mpg in my truck and its a killer on the wallet. I get 40-50 with my CBR and that is definitely working for me.

Exactly, especially on the track I knew I was going down eventually. It still blows when it happens though

Came away with a few bruises and being sore but fine otherwise. I got really lucky, one guy I know broke his pelvis a few weeks back in a highside.

Well, it looks like you are wearing really good gear, which helped I'm sure. Too many people ride with little to no protection. Its all fun until somebody gets hurt.

You have to wear leathers on the track but I wear a back protector and armored shorts too

They were street plastics, it's a track only bike now so I went with track plastics and got rid of all the crap I didn't need on there anymore

I have really considered getting a bike many times because of the terrible gas mileage that my '99 Chevy Silverado gets. I think it is definitely a better option that getting a Toyota Prius or some little wind up car like that.

Texas is better.

If you get a Prius, you might as well hand in your man card when you make the purchase. A bike is a better option, but you have to be willing to accept the danger that comes hand in hand with riding, especially in traffic. But, they teach some great stuff for beginners in the mandatory Motorcycle Safety Course you take prior to getting your Class M endorsement.

Btw, the Prius comment is a joke. I'm not trying to offend anyone who drives one. But that is my opinion.

Is that this Friday? I don't know if I will be around. My wife is showing her horse in Ft. Worth on Friday and Saturday. If I'm around, I'll come by and say Hi.

Yep, Dave loves it when people do that stuff on mini's during track days. He can get a little up tight. lol He doesn't care for wheelies on the track either....I don't know how I know that....but....I know....and so does Chad! cheers

Yeah it's a CMRA race weekend so Friday is the practice day. I managed to get the day off work so I'm going up there to ride and make sure the bike is all setup. The 4th I'll be doing MSRH with Whoopies race school so I need to be ready to go that way I won't get passed to bad by all the racers lol

If you come out I'll be pitted with the guys from WFO by a big toyhauler
