Hey guys, I have an AR that feeds perfectly with colt mags, but I've tried other mags, and it won't load. Ive tried P mags and one of the P mags i got will ocassionally fire off 5 or 6 rounds without a problem, and others wont even load a round at all. I bought the upper and lower seperatly, they were both new. Does anyone have any suggestions as to wat could be wrong. Or should i just find a gunsmith. When it fails to load, bullets usually are too low.

Does it have M4 feed ramps?

What length is the barrel and gas system?

Fixed stock or collapsing?

What brand of ammo, weight, and type? (FMJ, softpoint, etc).

If it's softpoint loads, combined with no M4 feedramps and possibly a magazine issue.....that could easily be making the rounds nosedive and not feed correctly.

Without pics and info, hard to say much.
