That's good news. I'm heading out Tuesday and Wednesday so hopefully I'll see something.

That has been my experience as well, I'm in Young County south of Archer on Hwy 16 bellow Markley.

They are going to my feeders at night - but nothing moving during the day - not even my hogs!

Archer County, near Holliday. Saw does Saturday morning after a light fog, slow the rest of the weekend. Need a cool front to shake things up a little. Other hunter saw a spike after some does Saturday evening, but not much else. Think we are another week or two away from rut kicking off.

Archer County, half way between Olney and Archer City on 79. Seeing lots of bucks working wheat fields during early mornings and late evenings. They are chasing does and showing some interest. I saw a nice buck lay down in a wheat field on Sat morning and wait for the doe he was with to finish feeding.

So far the deer are slow to the feeders, as I expected going into the season. Right now, we have taken 12 hogs and passed on some really nice bucks.

Yep, real close to us! We've been out there for since '98. Lot better country for deer than most people realize.

Weather hasn't cooperated. I went out yesterday. Sat all day in good spot. Saw 2 does. No bucks. Definitely a little warm, so I skipped out today. Little windy to be bowhunting anyway.

Still a little slow in Archer county this past weekend. Watched a yearling working on a food plot (in dire need of a little sprinkle), and that was it. Shot a 250# sow Saturday evening, cut out the hams, shoulders, and backstrap. Nothing this morning, the fog came rolling in about 7:15-7:30, and we pulled up stakes about 8:30, not knowing when the fog would break. Hope to get back out Friday and have a better report.

I hunt on a ranch near Lake Arrowhead. Sits right on the corner of Archer, Clay and Wichita Counties. I work at headquarters in FW but I am originally from WF.
