Has anyone on here hunted or plans on hunting with them this year? How bout some of the other Lions Club hunts offered? What's been your experience? Sounds like alot of fun. I know the droght may lower the numbers, but who is going anyway?

I was going to head up there for the opener last season but I decided to go somewhere a little closer.
the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

I have hunted a few in that area in the past without much luck. Too crouded and a lot of the land on the map to hunt doesn't hold birds. Private land is the way to go if you have the contacts. I have yet to see any pheasant chicks in my neck of the woods. I think this is going to be a horrible year for pheasants. A lot of the grain farmers let their crops go because it cost them them more in water than what they would make from a harvest.
